The nursery is not open on regular days but you are welcome to come at any time from February to September but you need to telephone first to check if we will be here (preferably ring before 9am or after dark).

The garden at Elworthy Cottage will be open 10 times for the National Garden Scheme in 2026 when the nursery will also be open.

For 2026 we will be opening for the National Garden Scheme on the following days:-

Thursday 5th, Wednesday 11th & Tuesday 17th February, Tuesday 7th  & Tuesday 21st April, Tuesday 12th & Monday 25th May, Tuesday 23rd June, Tuesdays 7th & 21st July.

Opening times on NGS days are 11.00am - 4.30pm.

Admission to the garden is £5.00 for adults, children free; admission to the nursery is free.

When the garden is open for the NGS, teas will be available in aid of the Children's Hospice South West.

Groups from HPS, Plant Heritage, CGS, Gardening Clubs etc. are welcome to visit the garden by appointment on weekdays or evenings. Coaches welcome.
